Danska black metal zasedba Solbrud je po 15 letih delovanja in štirih albumih prenehala delovati. Vzrok naj bi bil pomanjkanje motivacije, spodaj pa lahko preberete izjavo banda v celoti.

»Time for some sad news everyone: We have decided to end all activities with Solbrud and are disbanding now. Sorry to disappoint you all but it's the end of the road for us.

The reasons are many - in short we just can't really find the spirit and motivation required to keep this ship running the way it's supposed to. Until recently we had big plans for an upcoming album with David showing the rest of the world what a good match he was with Solbrud. But eventually we couldn’t find the energy to go through with it. We know that David at the moment is working on a solo project and hope y’all will give it a spin when it comes out.

Boris Behara je hrvaški glasbenik, ki stoji za projektom Tryglav, s katerim je lansko leto izdal že drugi album The Ritual. Pred kratkim pa je Boris razkril novico, da je skupaj z bobnarjem Shannonom Lucasom (ex-The Black Dahlia Murder) ustanovil black metal zasedbo Wolven Spirits. Fanta sta k sodelovanju povabila še Adama Clemansa na vokalu (Skeletonwitch), Noaha Martina na baskitari (Arsis) ter klaviaturista Travisa Nordahla. Kako je prišlo do sodelovanja in kakšni so načrti banda, pa si lahko ogledate v spodnjem videu.

Brutal Assault je razkril vse nastopajoče, ki se bodo na letošnji različici festivala razvrstili na glavnih odrih. Prišlo pa je tudi do nekaj t. i. zamenjav. Namesto My Dying Bride bodo nastopili Candlemass, namesto Pig Destroyer pa Cephalic Carnage, ki bodo na BA odigrali kar 2 ekskluzivna koncerta. Nastop so odpovedali tudi After The Burial, Darkest Hour, Devil Master, Spiritworld in Ten56., namesto njih pa prihajajo na Češko Acid Row, Aeon Winds, Deadroots, Distant, Doomas, Exorcizphobia, Ions, Mallephyr, Ocenas Ate Alaska, Persefone, Stellvris in Take Ofense. K celotnemu lineupu dodajajo še šest underground imen, in sicer 1914, Cloak, Hellripper, Chthe'ilist, Sfera in Worm. Na sliki v novici si lahko preberete tudi dnevni razpored zasedb.

Festival se bo letos odvil med 7. in 10. avgustom, na voljo pa so tudi tako imenovane dnevne vstopnice Brutal Inspection, ki so omejene na 300/dan.

Čilski heavy metalci Lucifer's Hammer predstavljajo skladbo Glorious Night, s katero napovedujejo svoj po vrsti že četrti studijski celovečerec Be and Exist. Izdali ga bodo 14. junija pri založbi Dying Victims Productions, obsega pa te naslove:

Finski heavy metalci Angel Sword so razkrili komad Powerglove s prihajajočega albuma World Fighter, ki ga bodo izdali 14. junija pri založbi Dying Victims Productions.

Prejšnji teden je Simone Simons v novem videospotu razkrila skladbo Aeterna z debitantskega solo albuma Vermillion, ki ga bo 23. avgusta izdala pri založbi Nuclear Blast.

Nemške legende thrash metala Exumer se skupaj z veljaki Hirax avgusta odpravljajo na evropsko turnejo. Žal se to pot banda ne bosta ustavila pri nas, kje vse ju boste lahko ujeli, pa najdete na sliki.

Nizozemski deathcorovci Distant, ki so lani skupaj z domačimi Within Destruction izdali video za komad Exofilth 2.0, predstavljajo nov single Loveless Suffering. Video za komad je nastal v sodelovanju s producentom Alanom Grnjo.

Brutal death metalci iz Savdske Arabije Sijjeel so posneli videospot za komad Relinquished Unto Thee 14 kot del prihajajočega albuma Affiliation of Horrid Containment, ki bo izšel 5. julija pri Comatose Music. Tracklista:
