Italijanski power metalci Frozen Crown, ki so marca letos izdali šesti dolgometražec Call Of The North, sporočajo, da so podpisali z založbo Napalm Records.

Since we founded this band in 2018 we worked hard incessantly, day after day, not only trying to put our best in our studio albums and live, but also managing the band all by ourselves, conquering every single little accomplishment with our DIY attitude, always keeping loyal to our (extremely) small entourage. »It is with deep regret that we have to announce the cancellation of our Summer June/July 2023 tour scheduled within Europe/UK. As you may know we previously toured Europe last month and during this tour a few members of the band suffered extreme physical strain resulting in injuries preventing us from returning back to the area less than a month from our previous tour.

Although it's never our intention to cancel any tour the health of our bandmates is key for continuing forward into the rest of the year and it's required that these members rest accordingly and recover from their injuries sustained during this tour. The physical strain that touring takes on the bodies of musicians manifests itself in many ways that are out of our control.

We have a lot in the works for the remainder of the year including writing and completing our new album and we look forward to returning to one of our favorite territories and fans in the EU/UK bringing you Suffocation at full strength, blazing and cranking alongside you all.

As you all know, Suffocation puts their all into our live show and we want to make sure fans get our all moving forward. Health and safety is our number one priority to ensure that we can bring it for you guys for the remainder of 2023 and beyond.«

Hard rockerji Extreme so objavili še en video s prihajajočega albuma Six, ki izide 9. junija, in sicer so ga posneli za skladbo z naslovom Other Side Of The Rainbow.

Japonski black metal solo projekt Deathroll sporoča, da je podpisal z založbo Wormholedeath Records. Preko nove založbo bo tako izšel najnovejši album Japanese Extreme Metal Art. Datum izida je napovedan za 7. julij, album bo pa zajemal naslednje komade:

Mastic Scum so objavili videospot za komad Digital Dementia. Gre za komad, ki je del aktualne izdaje Icon. Fantje bodo s prihodnjim mesecem začeli s koncertno promocijo albuma, v okviru katere se bodo ustavili 12. maja v dunajskem klubu ((szene)), prav tako pa bodo nastopili tudi na letošnji ediciji festivala Obsceme Extreme.

Organizatorji festivala MetalDays 2023 so včeraj objavili številne nove bande, ki bodo nastopili na letošnji prvi ediciji v Velenju. To so nemški thrash metal velikani Destruction ter Cryptosis, Blackoutt, Diamond Dust, Extreme Smoke 57, Goragorja, In Heaven, Kaoz in Spirits of Stygia.

Hard rock legende Extreme sporočajo, da bodo 9. junija pri založbi earMUSIC izdali nov album z naslovom Six. Pred izidom albuma band v obliki videospota predstavlja single Rise.

Iz tabora nemške zasedbe In Extremo sporočajo, da so bili zaradi prevelikega finančnega tveganja in povišanih stroškov primorani odpovedati evropsko turnejo. Celotno izjavo lahko preberete tukaj:

Unfortunately, it is also the case that we are still living in extraordinary and challenging times, which is reflected in our specific case in the fact that we have to cancel the upcoming European tour for 2023. According to the current status, this tour unfortunately involves too many financial risks, which, as in some places, is not least due to the extreme price developments.
Nevertheless, that shouldn't be a reason to despair, because we're taking the upswing that gave us this year and will use the time in the studio to show you another chapter in the new year.

Misþyrming so v petek izdali tretji studijski album Með hamri, ki ga ponujajo v posluh na Bandcampu. Izid pri založbi Norma Evangelium Diaboli so pospremili z intervjujem na portalu Bardo Methodology.

Po nekajletnem premoru se Isladci vračajo tudi na odre. Že čez nekaj tednov se podajajo na turnejo z Ritual Death, Kringo in Nubivagant, med katero se bodo nam najbliže ustavili 10. januarja v klubu Randal Bratislavi in 11. januarja v klubu Kapu v Linzu. V začetku aprila igrajo na Dark Easter Metal Meetingu, poleti pa so zaenkrat potrjeni za festivala Rockstad Extreme Fest v Romuniji in Brutal Assault na Češkem.

Portugalski symphonic/extreme metalci Caedeous so podpisali za Black Sunset/MDD in napovedali nov album, na katerem bo prvič sodelovala mezzosopranistka Rosmerta. Poleg tega je ustanovitelj projekta Paulo J. Mendes okoli sebe zbral še druge glasbenike, in sicer z željo, da lahko svojo glasbo končno predstavi v živo.

Danski death grind kvartet Sequestrum bo 27. januarja pri Extremely Rotten Productions izdal EP z naslovom Pickled Preservation. Ta bo vseboval šest avtorskih komadov in eno priredbo:
